lead with love and choose adaptability

Be kind. Be loving.

The incessant drive to push our limits can be our ticket to growth.

We've all heard the clichés: "Don't settle for less," "Conquer your fears," but we each internalize them differently.

So, what makes adaptability the sought-after skill of 2020? Consider what we've endured this year. Things move fast, and the world demands that we shift and flow like water. It's not enough to merely float; we must fully liquefy and move as fluidly as water.

As children, we understood this constant ebb and flow, but somehow, as we grew older, we lost some of this fluidity. Our thoughts about ourselves and the world risked becoming rigid and fixed. But we shouldn't let them.

What can we learn from this?

Just as our thoughts flow, so must our bodies and circumstances. Everything is interconnected, flowing alongside one another. Nothing is fixed, and as creative individuals, we must embrace this concept.

Let's return to the water analogy. Sometimes a wave pulls us in an unexpected direction, but we ride it anyway and find value in the experience. This ability to bend where it "feels good" is our intuition. By listening to our intuition, we become more resilient and recognize the necessity of adapting.

"Become water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

"Necessity" is an understatement.

Have you ever faced a strong undercurrent in the ocean or a river? It can take you away, leaving you with little control. You become subject to its strength. So, what happens when you fight it? What if you let it take you? Either way, you might get knocked around, and you might even regret stepping into the water. But if you come out unscathed and accomplish what you set out to do, you'll leave feeling empowered and ready to face new challenges, even if the end result doesn't match your initial expectations.

We're doing our best. We're diving into the currents, staying the course, and adapting when necessary. We're resourceful, finding new ways to navigate through the growing intensity.

Stay positive, avoid panic, and be attentive to those who can support you along the way.

Lead with love, and you can't go wrong.
